The recently ordained Fr Shane Gallagher from Ballybofey is to be the CC in Glenties following clerical changes announced by the Bishop of Raphoe, the Most Rev. Philip Boyce.

Fr Gallagher, who was the only person to be ordained for the Raphoe diocese this year, will also take up the role of Chaplain to St Columba’s Comprehensive School in the town.

His appointment will take effect from the end of August along with the following: Fr Declan McCarron, CC Convoy to be granted a Sabbatical; Fr Paul Gallagher, CC Glenties to be CC in Convoy; Rev Martin Cunningham, CC Drumkeen to travel to Rome for further studies with Rev Martin Timoney, currently CC in Ballyshannon to take over in Drumkeen.
