Top chefs for Stranorlar visit

September 10th, 2009

The busy kitchens of Kee’s Hotel are humming with more activity then usual as guest chefs make final arrangements for the Fifteen Foundation’s visit.

The charity was founded by Jamie Oliver to help underprivileged young people train as chefs.

Kee’s has been specially chosen to host this event which will take place on Wednesday, September 16th from 7pm. Highlighting the best of local produce, the menu will include dishes soon to be featured on the menu at Fifteen in London.  Three great raffle prizes are on offer including an overnight in London with a day’s cooking tuition in Fifteen, followed by dinner in the restaurant.

Paul Catterson has offered to come to your home and cook dinner for six and finally, there’s the chance to win an overnight in Belfast with dinner at The Merchant.

Andrew Parkinson, Executive Head Chef of Fifteen’s flagship restaurant in London, has 22 years cooking experience under his belt and plays a major role in the future of Fifteen restaurants worldwide.

Paul Catterson was born in Donegal where he worked to become Head Chef at Kee’s Hotel. Moving to London in 1990, he was inspired by great chefs in kitchens such as Scott’s on Mount Street and Quaglino’s.

All proceeds will go to The Fifteen Foundation.

Tickets are available for €50 per person which includes welcome cocktail and four course dinner with wine.
